Also known as Sugar Maple, Rock Maple, Sweet Maple, and Black Maple. Grows throughout Eastern North America.

Attributes : Straight, close grain with a fine, uniform texture. Nearly white Sapwood, sometimes with a reddish tinge and light tannish heartwood.

Finishing : Works well with both staining and polishing. To prevent discolouration UV varnish is recommended.
