At Kronospan we just want to make things perfect. From Standard Grade to Superfine, all Kronospan chipboard is exceptional. Your quality and reputation is our concern, so for instance, we’ve invested in a ground-breaking new recycled material decontamination process that’s unique in the UK. It achieves maximum recovery of contaminents, and therefore delivers outstanding quality in the finished product. For you that means consistent ‘body’, better cutting, easy machining, longer tool life – the kind of real world practicalities that help support your profit ability. Quality controlled, because we control the entire production process from timber to finished board, we negate all the variables. So whether it’s virgin FSC traceable timber or recycled content, it’s all top quality. Cleaner cut, lower tool wear. Our highly developed chipboard ‘recipes’ and extremely clean raw material mean your machine tools work more efficiently and suffer less cutter wear. Kronospan chipboard comprises 70% recycled fibre and 30% virgin FSC traceable timber – diverting 300,000 tonnes of waste from landfill per year. The product has also been given a carbon -positive award by The Blue Green Carbon Company. Our chipboard exceeds all the relevant UK and European standards; we manufacture via a quality system accredited to BS EN ISO 9002:2000; all Kronospan chipboard is independently certified as low formaldehyde, meeting the European E1 standard. Maybe it’s a ‘bread and butter’ product, but we still believe Standard Chipboard should be top quality.
